This assistance is provided as a silent second loan, meaning recipients do not have to repay it as long as they meet all the program&#8217;s conditions. After 15 years, if all conditions are met, the loan is completely forgiven.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All individuals interested in acquiring a property in Riverside County, California, and wishing to be part of this program must apply through one of the approved lenders listed on the county\u2019s website. Among the requirements for applicants is that they must complete an 8-hour homebuyer education course, which is offered by a HUD-approved educator.
