Fear is looming large about another wave of recession. It is even threatening Washington and New York. It would further push down value of properties. There are many risks in buying homes and thus many are opting for rentals. Banks are being accused of abusive foreclosure practices.

Despite a pause in 2010, foreclosures are once more making a comeback. Brown County is one of the regions suffering without respite. Many opine that the pause was temporary following the exposure of the robo-signing scandal. Experts think that unless the employment situation improves the trouble will continue.

In Chicago the neutering and spaying programme has brought down the number of stray animals but the numbers being left behind in shelters by owners unable to care for them have been increasing. Simultaneously the pet product industry has been growing year over year.

With foreclosures persisting, the settlement talks getting bogged down with differences, many of the attorneys general are opting out of the investigating teams contending that not enough is being done to help the troubled house owners. The liberals do not want to give the banks release from bigger liabilities.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency is very eager to rent out the homes that are lying vacant. This may bring down the number of distressed property but it will not be very good for the economy. Also it may be very expensive to renovate the homes and bring them back to a habitable state.
