The one thing that has bloomed during the tough economic days is the business of arranging steamy love affairs. Divorce has become costly and for a negligible price one can let off steam and warmth from friendship. Online dating sites for divorcees and married persons are doing roaring business.

The registrars of deed across the counties of America are combing through papers submitted in their offices. Upon review they are finding countless instances of dubitable signatures going back to 1998. Some are as recent as this year. The practice is continuing. The scope of the fraud remains unclear – a far cry from what was initially suspected.

Although foreclosures are persisting there are more options available for troubled homeowners facing foreclosure. HUD has teamed up with the Treasury to start a campaign advertising the help available through PSA. Many homeowners do not know of help and do not contact. This worsens their situation.

The pain of the housing crisis continues in New York. Renters are living in abandoned foreclosed houses deserted by the owners as well as some of the banks. The living conditions are deteriorating but code violation notices are not working because none is taking on the ownership responsibility. New laws focusing on apartments are coming too late to the rescue.
