The investigations being carried out by all the A.Gs and other federal departments have been nothing but an attempt to whitewash the fraud pertaining to foreclosure abuses. The last ten years has been stamped with the culture of no-accountability where the big fish have not only escaped scot free but they have been rewarded.

The recession has seen an increase in child abuse. Mainly this is because the mothers, under financial stress are compelled to engage unsuitable people to care for the baby. Mostly the perpetrators of the crime are fathers or male caretakers who cannot bear the crying of unhappy children. The infants are wildly shaken causing brain damage.

There was a lawsuit against developers of homes which stated that they were responsible for creating an illusionary real estate market. When the illusion was cleared, there were an increasing number of foreclosures and short sales. This resulted in chaotic neighbourhoods.

Paralyzed resident of Oregon, living in a house tailor made to suit his condition and having comfortable funds to pay mortgage dues, is suddenly foreclosed upon by Bank of America. When he had wanted to clarification about the loan when BofA took over Countrywide, the bank told him to withhold mortgage payments; this led to foreclosure and eviction threats.

Two sisters and a friend chummed up to spend their retirement years in Naples. They invested in a project – Bristol Pines. The elderly women invested their money but the developer went into foreclosure. Although the women were armed with court orders that the money was to be returned to them the developer had no funds to pay.
