Auto King Faces Foreclosure

Denny Hecker, the auto king, wants to move to the north but it is not for vacation purposes. Papers were filed in the court recently by his attorney, saying that he cannot stay in his house in Medina, but want to shift to his cabin in his previous estate at Crosslake in foreclosure listings in Minnesota.
His attorney Brian Toder said that ultimately Crosslake would be the last property of Hecker. Toder argues that since his client wears round the clock a monitoring device, as per orders of the court, there is no risk that he would take recourse to flight. Speaking at a recent interview Toder did not reply to queries about Hecker’s Medina Home on Northridge Drive where he has been residing till now and why he feels the need to shift. Earlier in the year the holder of the mortgage on this property hinted at foreclosure.
It is not as yet clear if proceedings have been initiated. In January Hecker had come to an understanding with the trustee in the bankruptcy case of his that he would be permitted to reside in his house in Northridge Drive with Christi Rowan, his girl friend. For this he was to pay $75,000. The amount would be given by a friend, he had said. But doubts have been raised regarding from where the money was to come from. The trustees say it is from trust funds kept aside for the children as well as the grandchildren of Hecker. According to court papers Hecker has the nod from the court to stay in any one of the Crosslake cabins. But it has not been stated as to who gave the permission. A foreclosure listings sale of the above property has been fixed for 24th May and in all probability TCF Bank will purchase it. If court grants permission to Hecker he can move to Crosslake and reside there said Toder without giving further details. Previously Hecker had been the owner of numerous dealerships of automobiles in the Twin City areas.
Last year he filed for bankruptcies but in April this year he came to an agreement by which discharge of the debt would not be done. He is facing fraud charges by the feds for scamming lenders and while in bankruptcy concealed his assets. However he says that he is not guilty. Hecker was not given permission to go to his home in Crosslake. He is under constant electronic surveillance while residing in his home at Medina.
