Foreclosure Crisis Is Prompting Calls for Change

The foreclosure crisis is prompting calls for change. The administration is being constantly blamed for everything.

The Clinton government put pressure on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to issue defective loans to people who did not have the income to repay them. This kicked off the ball that set into motion the foreclosure crisis and the subsequent financial crisis.

The Obama team promises to care for all Americans – especially in matters of finance. Funds will be distributed and redistributed until finally the man in the streets having nothing in his pocket but loose change. Obama has stopped offshore exploration of oil – it is really some change if people are happy with $5 per gallon for gas.

The logic is mind boggling – running into trillions of dollars in debt to get out of debt. This reasoning has never worked in yester years and doubtful if it will either today or tomorrow. The best and trodden path of beating recession is to lower taxes.

Another change Obama is bent on is reduction in defense expenses. It raises questions about the prudence of this move especially when Iran and North Korea are flexing their nuclear muscles. It is scary to sit back complacently when all it requires is three medium nukes to knock America in the heart. A jumbo electromagnetic pulse can destroy the electric grid, computers, transport and communication lines.

The orders are that the word ‘terrorist’ is not be used by Homeland Security. Obama seems to over concerned about hurting the sentiments of Islamic extremists and thinks less about the safety about the ordinary American in the streets. The consequences for this will be grave.

Pictures are flashing and news pouring in of Obama crisscrossing Europe repeatedly apologizing for everything America has done. He is seen bowing low in front of the Saudi King. If America had not stepped in the very existence of Europe would have been wiped out in face of the Fascist rage. Saudi Arabia would have been ashes soaked in oil if America had not pushed back Saddam Hussein in the first few years of the 90’s. Appeasement of other countries is a sign of weakness. It is a change to plan an across the table powwow with Iran and North Korea but a change for the better or worse for America is for all to see and judge. The Bush administration was wise enough to see this point.
